en// Bye Bye Stalag 17A and Return to Stalag 17A is a double zine about the escape of Pierre Gouzin, my grandfather, from Stalag 17A in 1941. The first zine is an adapted transcript of his escape diary, while the second zine takes place 73 years later, in 2014, when I went on a hike to research and re-visit the places he went through during his escape, adding a good spoon of self-deprecation and social commentary. Both zines are full with original photographs, maps, plans and drawings. If you like travel zines, if you like war stories, if you like figuring things out and finding your own way, then this might be for you!
